AMS Membership – The Finer Print

Team Training Membership

Active Movement Studio (AMS) offer Team Training as a service to any members that choose to sign up with us. All exercise classes are run by Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists only. The service offers strength, high intensity, boxing, pilates and stretch and release classes. All classes are 45 minutes in duration. As a member of AMS you are subject to the finer print below which outlines our terms and policies.

1.0 Membership General Terms

1.1 AMS Rescheduling Policy

Your AMS membership entitles you to access many additional services. Scheduling appointments for any of our services are subject to our AMS Rescheduling Policy. AMS reserves the right to forego your appointment if you fail to comply with our policies.

Your reserved appointment time has been specifically allocated to you. If you are unable to make your appointment time, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for Team Training Assessments, Technique Sessions, Progress Assessment, Nutritional Guidance, Dexa Scan, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Personal Training and Reformer Pilates. If you are unable to make your appointment time, a minimum of 24 hours notice is expected for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology & Personal Training appointments.

1.2 Class Bookings

Team Training members must book for every class attended. AMS reverses the right to restrict class access for members that have failed to book in for each class. Our studio has a maximum capacity of 20 participants.

1.3 Team Training Timetable

Our Team Training timetable is subject to change at short notice.

1.4 Booking for Additional Services

Access to additional services is by appointment only and subject to availability. Advanced bookings are recommended to ensure availability.

2.0 Team Training Membership Extras

2.1 Studio + Online Classes

Our Team Training Memberships are structured to provide you with the best value. Our Active, Perform and Elite memberships all include:

  • unlimited in studio and online class access
  • movement and postural screen
  • technique correction session
  • Exclusive webinar access
  • Access to our support networks

If you hold an AMS Team Training Membership you will have unlimited access to In Studio and Online Classes. In studio classes are conducted in person within our studio located in Parramatta. Online classes can be completed from any location of your choice providing you have access to internet and a device that supports video.

2.2 Movement & Postural Screen

Our Movement and Postural Screen requires you to complete a one off 30 minute assessment with your allocated practitioners. This assessment must be completed prior to you commencing any classes. If you are unable to make your appointment, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your assessment.

2.3 One on One Technique Session

Our Technique Correction Session requires you to complete a one off 30 minute appointment where you will be taught corrective movement patterns through the primary exercises utilised in our Team Training program. This appointment must be completed within 14 days of you commencing. You can commence classes before completing this session. If you are unable to make your appointment, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your assessment.

2.4 Exclusive Webinar Access

Your AMS membership will give you exclusive access to our monthly Webinars run by our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists. Our webinars provide the most up to date information and are packed full of educational content. Webinars are hosted online via zoom. Bookings are essential to receive your access link.

2.5 Support Network Access

On your sign up day, you will be sent an invitation to join our Support Network community via Facebook. Our coaches and members regularly interact via these groups to help keep you accountable while actively engaged at AMS.

2.6 Progress Assessment & Report

An active AMS memberships will give you assess to a complimentary 30 minute progress assessment and review every 12 weeks. Once complete, you will receive a comparison report to highlight your training results. If you are unable to make your appointment, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your progress assessment.

2.7 Nutritional Guidance

Our nutritional guidance program gives you access to meet with one of our coaches to review your food diary every 6 weeks. You will receive valuable feedback and tips on how to further improve your nutritional intake no matter what your goal. If you are unable to make your appointment, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your progress assessment.

2.8 Dexa Body Scan

As part of tracking your long term progress, AMS has teamed up with Body and Bone to give members the opportunity to complete a dexa scan every 6 months. Dexa scans provide a highly accurate baseline to help you achieve your goals. By knowing your body fat and lean tissue percentage, you can make lifestyle changes to improve your health and reduce your risk for chronic diseases.

Along with Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) and VO2 testing, DEXA scan results can be used to recommend specific information on ideal caloric intake and energy expenditure, helping to achieve fat loss or muscle gain goals. If you are unable to make your scheduled dexa scan time, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your dexa scan.

2.9 One on One Personal Training

Fast track your goals with our Elite membership, which includes a 30 minute 1 on 1 Personal Training session every month. Your coach will ensure your exercise technique is correct, hold you accountable and ensure you are on track to achieving your goals. Personal Training sessions must be booked in advanced. If you are unable to make your appointment time, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your session for the current month.

2.10 One on One Reformer Pilates

Fast track your goals with our Elite membership, which includes a 30 minute 1 on 1 Reformer Pilates session every month. Our Reformer Pilates program will teach you how to efficiently engage your core and control your pelvis during movement. This will improve your overall quality of movement during classes helping you maximise your results. Reformer Pilates appointments must be booked in advanced. If you are unable to make your appointment time, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your session for the current month.

2.11 Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy

Our Elite membership includes a standard 30 minute Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy appointment each week. Appointments must be booked in advanced. If you are unable to make your appointment time, we require 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Insufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your session for the current week. You will not be eligible to book another appointment in the same week or make up your missed appointment at a later date.

3.0 Membership Types

3.1 Active Membership

AMS Active Membership allows you access to the following services:

  • In studio & online classes – unlimited
  • Movement & postural screen – 1 x 30 minute session
  • 1 on 1 Technique Session – 1 x 30 minute session
  • Exclusive webinar access – monthly access
  • Access to our support networks – unlimited

3.2 Perform Membership

AMS Perform Membership is allows you access to the following services:

  • In studio & online classes – unlimited
  • Movement & postural screen – 1 x 30 minute session
  • 1 on 1 Technique Session – 1 x 30 minute session
  • Exclusive webinar access – monthly access
  • Access to our support networks – unlimited
  • Progress assessment and report – every 12 weeks
  • Nutritional guidance – every 6 weeks
  • Dexa scan – 2 scans per year

3.3 Elite Membership

AMS Perform Membership is allows you access to the following services:

  • In studio & online classes – unlimited
  • Movement & postural screen – 1 x 30 minute session
  • 1 on 1 Technique Session – 1 x 30 minute session
  • Exclusive webinar access – monthly access
  • Access to our support networks – unlimited
  • Progress assessment and report – every 12 weeks
  • Nutritional guidance – every 6 weeks
  • Dexa scan – 2 scans per year
  • Remedial massage – 1 x 30 minutes per month
  • 1 on 1 personal training or reformer pilates – 1 x 30 minute per month
  • Physiotherapy or exercise physiology – 1 x 30 minute per week
4.0 Understanding Your Membership

4.1 Membership Period & Minimum Term

  • AMS requires 2 weeks notice for cancellation of 3 and 6 month memberships
  • Cancellation of 3 and 6 months memberships are subject to early exit fees
  • Week by week memberships are not subject to a minimum term
  • No notice required for cancellation of week by week memberships

4.2 Membership Commencement Date

  • Memberships are officially active on signing of agreements and we accept it
  • Initial assessments must be completed prior to engaging in any classes

4.3 Freezing Your Membership

  • You can place you membership on hold for a maximum of 4 weeks per annual calendar
  • Hold periods are for a minimum of 1 week and can be 4 consecutive weeks
  • Periods of hold must start and finish on your direct debit date
  • AMS requires 7 days written (email) notice prior to placing your membership on hold

4.4 Minimum Age for Membership

  • Minimum membership age is 16 years to join AMS
  • Parent or guardian signature is required for individuals aged between 16 and 17 years

4.5 Membership Amendments

  • AMS reserves the right to update membership terms at any given time
  • You will be given 14 days notice for any major inclusions
  • Major changes may include opening hours, timetable update, change to services or membership fees
  • Our team training timetable is subject to change at any given time with 14 days notice to members
  • AMS reserves the right to increase your membership fees at any given time after the minimum period of your agreement

4.6 Clinic Code of Conduct

  • CARE OF EQUIPMENT – AMS members are expected to take care when operating equipment and use equipment for its correct purpose
  • If you are negligent and damage any of our equipment you could be held liable for the damage
  • USE OF TOWEL – is mandatory when training at AMS. If you fail to bring a towel you will be required to hire a towel for $2.00 for reception
  • CLASS BOOKINGS – Members are required to book for every class prior to attending. If you fail to book and the class is at capacity you will not be eligible to access that class.
  • BEHAVIOUR – AMS reverses the right to instantly cancel your membership without warning if you; threaten of harass members, damage equipment, use illegal or performance enhancing drugs or instructing other members when not authorised to.
  • SUITABLE ATTIRE – All members must wear suitable clothing allowing freedom to perform various types of movements. Enclosed shoes must be worn at all times and you will be refused entry if you fail to abide by this.
  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS – We do not have lockers but do provide storage for personal belongings. AMS does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your belongings while you are within our facility.

4.7 Direct Debit Fees & Membership Payments

  • AMS does not charge a joining fee
  • We only offer a direct debit membership option

DIRECT DEBIT FEES

  • One off set up fee: $5.50
  • Bank account transfer: $1.20 per transaction
  • Visa and mastercard: 2.35% (min $0.99)
  • Amex/Diners: 4.4% (min$0.99)
  • Failed Payment Fee: $21.90

Applicable ezidebit fees are added to your Active Movement membership fee.

PAYING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

  • Memberships commence on day of signing
  • Payments for memberships are charged weekly, fortnightly or monthly by direct debit from your nominated bank account or credit card
  • First direct debit will occur one day after signing your agreement

4.8 Notice of Cancellation

If you would like to cancel your membership please notify us via one of the following ways:

Upon notice for cancellation we will confirm your request within 14 days via:

  • Sending you an email to confirm your request
  • Please maintain a copy of this notification
  • We will contact our direct debit company to cancel your account
  • If you are cancelling within the minimum term, you will be subject to exit fees

4.9 Early Exit Fees

  • A cancellation fee is payable if you want to cancel your Membership for your convenience in the minimum term
  • Cancellation fee amount is equal to 50% of the balance of your Membership Fees for the remainder of the minimum term
  • Cancellation fees only apply to 3 and 6 month memberships
