Reformer Pilates in Parramatta

ARE YOU LOOKING TO INCREASE YOUR CORE STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY?

REFORMER PILATES PARRAMATTA

Along with matwork, at AMS, we offer the Reformer Pilates which in training both share the same principles of pilates: centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow. Our pilates instructors are all qualified Exercise Physiologists and are highly trained to teach clinical pilates at a personal level. Depending on your health and fitness goals, we will tailor your private one on one session to maximise your results. During your sessions you will be working in a variety of different positions such as lying, sitting, standing, pulling straps and pushing the foot bar.

REFORMER PILATES VS MAT PILATES

Reformer Pilates is similar yet still different to mat based pilates. Reformer pilates is practiced on a reformer machine which uses a system of spring changes to increase and decrease intensity. Depending on the spring settings, the exercises on a reformer can be more dynamic. The pulley system allows for maximum stretch as well as maximum load and strengthening of the muscles. Reformer offers a wider range of exercises expanding beyond your core. Reformer pilates provides a total body workout, whereas a mat workout is predominantly focused on core work.

IS REFORMER RIGHT FOR YOU

Reformer Pilates provides a great form of low impact strength training and is suitable for multiple pathologies. Our Reformer is commonly used for pre and postnatal, improving joint mobility, lower back pain treatment, postural correction, improving core strength, increasing athletic performance and rehabilitation. If you are new to Pilates, you will need to book in for an Initial Pilates Consultation where you will undergo a comprehensive assessment to determine your readiness to commence Mat or Reformer Pilates.
