“THROUGH IMPROVING OUR HEALTH AND MOVEMENT CAPACITY, WE CAN EVOLVE PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY TO BECOME THE BEST VERSION OF OURSELVES”
Remedial Massage Therapist & Exercise Scientist
Daniel joins the AMS team as an exercise scientist and remedial/sports massage therapist. Having completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Wollongong and a Diploma of Remedial Massage through Tafe NSW, Daniel’s approach to the body is far more in depth than that of your average remedial massage therapist.
Daniel has competed at a national and international level of Skinkyokushin Karate (a full contact style of karate) and also has experience training in other forms of martial arts including boxing and brazilian jiu jitsu. Wanting to become a better athlete and struggling through the injury and pain cycle led Daniel to want to learn about what was really causing pain and dysfunction within his body, how to improve overall health and how to train in the most efficient and intelligent way.
This led Daniel to his university studies and continuing education through the CHEK Institute (from world renowned exercise kinesiologist and wellness coach Paul Chek). With this experience and education, Daniel ensures that he can help all clients regardless of where they are at in their journey.
Daniel has experience working with high level combat athletes and also has experience working with some NRL teams. He loves working with the athletic population but also gets great satisfaction from working with anyone in the active population who is serious about becoming the best version of themselves.
When we can’t move well or when we are in pain, we simply cannot reach our potential both mental, physically and emotionally. This is what drives Daniel to be so passionate about the work that he does, helping others reach their potential.
Daniel integrates a wide variety of techniques and uses evidence based exercise prescription to ensure optimal patient outcomes. These include:
- Patient education
- Postural assessments
- Functional movement screen (FMS certified)
- Addressing dysfunctional movement patterns
- Exercise Rehabilitation
- Myofascial & trigger point therapy
- Soft tissue release
